Collectively, our team has worked on well over 100 deals involving buy-side, sell-side, due diligence, IPO, MBO and corporate fund raising transactions.

We pride ourselves in providing the same level of rigour, professionalism and creative thinking to SMEs as large companies. We believe this approach is rarely found outside the large corporate finance houses, top-10 accounting firms and investment banks.

Julian Coy - FCA CF - Managing Partner

As equity partner and Head of Corporate Finance in the North of England, Julian grew BDO (Manchester) into a major player in Corporate Finance, developing one of the strongest teams in mid-market deals working on well over 100 transactions. Following this, in 2005, he decided to practice what he preached and MBI invested in Promatic, the World leader in the field of clay pigeon traps. He quickly moved from Group Commercial Director through to US CEO and was ultimately appointed Group CEO before leaving in 2009 after negotiating a highly successful sale to Private Equity in 2007.  In early 2009 he launched CHA, his own consultancy and Corporate Finance firm, aiming to provide a unique blend of Corporate Finance expertise and Industry leading Sector Specialists who work with a small core client group to accelerate transactions and achieve outstanding deals.

More recently he has worked with  KBS Corporate Finance to build their Corporate team delivering deals across the UK in the £10m to £50m deal size.

Tom Verner – Sector Partner, Ireland

Tom has a proven track record in business throughout the North & South of Ireland. He has 28 years sales & marketing experience and since 2000 held a senior level.  He has developed a high level of knowledge and commercial experience over the years, which is useful when looking at opportunities with companies.
He has a long association with thriving and entrepreneurial businesses – and the success he delivers equals results.  His personable, in-depth and questioning approach has resulted in him having a crystal-clear understanding of the challenges faced by SME business owners and, more importantly, how to solve the underlying issues within any organisation to maximize the results.

Tom specialises in business turnaround projects, management re-structuring, sales & marketing and sales processes.
